We are kicking off the second year of our residency at Theaster Gates’ Archive House with

A Big Dig Gig opening of G.E.E.E. (60637).

Calling all gardeners and friends!

Plants for Plants, Plants for Poems and Plants for Free.

Got plants? Surplus spring plantings? Divided day lilies or other perennials? Plants you’d like to donate to the Archive House garden?  Please bring any plants you’re willing to donate or share (or contact us to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of any giveaway plants). All donated plants will be planted in the gardens or made available for free.

Need seedlings? We’ve got seedlings (available for a poem, for a plant or for free)!

Sweet Pea

Indigo Rose

Sun Gold

Later in the summer come get: Tomatillos, Genovese Basil, Lettuce Leaf Basil, Bouquet Dill, Grandma Einck’s Dill, Thai Basil and Flowers. All G.E.E.E. seedlings are locally-grown with seeds from Seed Savers Exchange.

Stop, Shop and Share at Cream Co.’s General Economy, Exquisite Exchange (G.E.E.E.), a plant and gift exchange where neighborly value is the operative currency. All items are available for sale or trade. Beginning on May 25, G.E.E.E. will have two sites at the Archive House, one indoors (including books, housewares and other giftables) and one outdoors.

Cream Co. is currently an artist-in-residence at Dorchester Projects. Cream Co.’s G.E.E.E. is a High Concept Laboratories sponsored project.
