Really Real

Really Real was Cream Co.’s first exhibition outside of the studio where we took an improvisational approach to producing an exhibition, organizing the project like a game of telephone, bucking a traditional curatorial approach to an exhibition and a traditional solo-artist approach to making art. The resulting exhibit included over 90 artists within a flexible/improvisational framework we created, but ultimately did not control. We converted a large gallery space into three distinct rooms: a Museum Room, a Library and a Gift Shop. Everyone and anyone was welcome to include artwork, although we established loose parameters about which “room” was most appropriate for each offered piece.
